+ Graphics is now producing the Canadian Edition of Grassroots
Motorsports Magazine. In a press release (see below) dated in August of 2004
outlining the details of the Canadian magazine were announced. We are extremely
proud to be a member of the GRM team and look forward to producing a
fine quality magazine that Canadian Motorsports enthusiasts will be proud
of. Motorsport Marketing Inc.,
publisher of Grassroots Motorsports Magazine, in Ormond Beach, FL. has
appointed Podium Media Group Inc., Ashburn, ON the magazine’s new
exclusive Canadian licensee to publish the Canadian Edition within
every issue of the magazine beginning with the November 2004 issue.
From Road Racing, Performance Rally, Solo, Ice, Vintage and Drifting
to the grassroots Club scene, the Canadian Edition will serve the
interests of autosport enthusiasts eight times per year.
Canadian subscribers of Grassroots Motorsports Magazine (GRM), now
typically 180 + page issues, will receive the Canadian Edition bound
into their subscription copies at no extra cost. The Canadian Edition
will also be included in all Canadian newsstand copies. Companies will
be able to advertise in either the North American circulated magazine
or just the Canadian Edition.
Tim Suddard, GRM Publisher and MMI owner is excited by the agreement.
“We’ve been wanting to cover more of the grassroots scene in Canada
for a while now and our licensing deal with Podium is a neat way for
us to do this. By going this route we’ll deliver a better product to
existing readers and tap into the pent up interest in GRM magazine in
a home-grown Canadian style”.
The Canadian Edition fills an interesting void in the Canadian
motorsport and sports car enthusiast community. By teaming up with GRM,
Podium can now offer Canadians the superlative package of pertinent
and reliable technical editorial features, coverage of the US
autosport scene, that GRM is widely known for, and now ongoing
coverage of the autosport scene in Canada with fascinating stories
about Canadians and their sports cars.
No less than 5,000 copies of the new Grassroots Motorsports Canadian
Editions (GRM-CE) will be distributed initially per issue with a goal
to reach 10,000 copies by 2005. In addition to maintaining GRM’s
existing Canadian subscription and newsstand circulation of the just
turned 20 year old hard-core sports car magazine, Podium Media Group
will undergo an aggressive event marketing strategy to reach
enthusiasts at club events and at the tracks, commencing immediately.
Advertising in this exciting new publication will offer companies new
and unique exposure and access to sports car enthusiast consumers
across Canada.
GRM-CE will also be actively involved in co-marketing promotions with
Canada’s ASN affiliated provincial motorsport sanctioning bodies,
encompassing over 60 specialized clubs and upwards of 10,000 members,
competitors and enthusiasts as well as competition license and
advanced driving schools, lapping clubs, specific marque owners-clubs
and retail distribution at Pro-Racing events across Canada throughout
the year.
Podium will also invite contributions from representatives of
provincial sanctioning bodies and regional clubs as well as
enthusiasts across Canada to build a network of grassroots
correspondents to cover activities in all parts of Canada.
The Grassroots Motorsports Magazine Canadian web-site,

scene as well as be the easy link to all of the departments and
features at www.grassrootsmotorports.com.
